Winter Newsletter 2025

Updated: Dec 1

Hi Happycrew Families,

We’ve got a fun, festive month ahead, so here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening.

Dates for Your Diary

Saturday 6th December - Happycrew Stay & Play

Happycrew are launching something new!

Family Stay & Play sessions - a monthly meetup packed with play, crafts, chats, and a community vibe.

Perfect for little explorers and their grown-ups who want a relaxed space to connect, play, and just be.

11th December - Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas Lunch and Santa's Visit

Staff and children are invited to wear their favourite Christmas jumpers. The brighter, the better.

Santa will be popping in for a special visit! Each room will receive a gift for the children to enjoy together - a little sprinkle of Christmas magic for everyone.

18th December - HC3 Visit to Christ Church

We’re heading over to Christ Church to support our local community. It’s a lovely chance for the children to connect and take part in something meaningful.

Christmas Closing Dates

Happycrew will be closing on Christmas Eve at 1pm and reopening on Monday 5th January 2026.

Saturday 10th January 2026 - Happycrew Stay & Play

Our New Year weekend event, bookable for all families.

Happycrew Bake Sale

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our weekly bake sale to raise funds for Ryan and Mandy Pring. We raised £500 to help support them to be able to focus on what truly matters: making memories with their boys, finding moments of peace and fighting this battle with everything they’ve got.

The JustGiving page has very nearly reached its target.

In January our book of the Winter term is an all time favourite 'Stick Man'.

Available to watch on BBC iPlayer here

Stick Man is an adventure-packed children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It follows Stick Man, a cheerful father who lives in the Family Tree with his Stick Lady Love and their three little stick children.

One day he’s picked up by a dog and thrown into a whirlwind of mishaps - used as a stick for a game, part of a sandcastle, even firewood! All he wants is to get back home to his family.

Just when things look bleak, Stick Man crosses paths with someone very familiar in a red suit… and that magical twist finally gets him home where he belongs.

It’s warm, funny, a bit emotional, and perfect for reading aloud - a little story about resilience, kindness, and the importance of family.

As always, thank you for being part of the Happycrew family. We’re so proud of everything your little ones are doing - and we love sharing the journey with you.
